Math Instructors Needed - Guide High Performing Students from Low Income Families to Dream Schools

Lead highly motivated students from low-income families through a rigorous math program designed to strengthen their algebra and geometry skills through classroom instruction, quizzes, assignments, and one-on-one coaching.

We will be serving students for the 2025-2026 school year in person but will prioritize student and volunteer safety and comfort.

Time Commitment: 1-3 hours per week from September through May, including Saturday morning sessions (usually 1-hour long)

More detail: Math Matters is a program designed to strengthen students’ algebra and geometry skills through classroom instruction, quizzes, assignments and one-on-one coaching. Math Matters sessions take place every non-holiday Saturday morning for one hour from September through May. Math Matters instructors have strong math backgrounds and often have a professional or academic focus in math or engineering. Instructors play a crucial role in fundraising. Instructors help to recruit subsequent generations of Minds Matter volunteers and leaders.
