    MobilizeGreen is helping you build the skills to start your environmental career. The From Data to Impact: Careers in Environmental Research Program is a six-week, interactive online program designed for motivated students and recent graduates who want to explore careers in the intersection of research, the environment, and sustainability. Whether you’re pursuing a degree in environmental science, taking climate-focused courses, or just passionate about making a difference, this training gives you the tools to turn interest into action—and action into a career path.

    Program Details

    • No-Cost to Join!
    • Format: Virtual – includes live and self-paced components
    • Duration: 6 weeks
    • Time Commitment: 4 hours per week
    • Dates: October 6 - November 10, 2025; Each Monday, 1:00 - 2:30 pm EDT

    What You Will Learn:

    Each week of the Environmental Research Training focuses on a key area of the green research sector—blending sustainability awareness with professional growth.

    • Week 1: The Landscape of Environmental Research Careers: Explore research roles in climate, sustainability, and environmental justice. Discover where your interests and skills align within green science and academia.
    • Week 2: Asking Good Questions: Research Design & Community Partnership: Learn how to build a strong research question and design a research project.
    • Week 3: Data Skills: Environmental Monitoring, EJ Datasets & Evidence Translation: Locate, utilize, and interpret environmental data.
    • Week 4: Writing & Communicating Environmental Evidence (Academic, Policy, Public): Turn environmental data and evidence into understandable findings for scholars and the public.
    • Week 5: Funding, Graduate School, & Research Pathways: Discuss the path to graduate school, including finding programs, locating funding, and building a strong application.
    • Week 6: Professional Identity, Mentorship Networks & Capstone Symposium: Bring your new skills together to with a finalized research project and a strong professional presence.

    By the end of the six weeks, you’ll walk away with real tools, clearer direction, and the confidence to take your next step in the green research sector.
