LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented Volunteer Toast Menu & E-Commerce Grocery Store Coordinator to help build and organize the digital storefront for Loop Foods.

Loop Foods is developing an online grocery, fresh food, seafood, prepared meal, and specialty retail operation. We are using Toast to manage our menu and online ordering experience and need someone who can take ownership of setting up, organizing, and improving the customer-facing e-commerce store.

The selected volunteer will work directly with leadership to build a clean, easy-to-navigate Toast menu and online grocery storefront that supports pickup and delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

• Building and organizing the Loop Foods menu inside Toast.
• Creating product categories and subcategories for grocery, seafood, prepared foods, beverages, pantry items, refrigerated items, frozen foods, snacks, bundles, and other products.
• Adding product names, descriptions, prices, photos, SKUs, and other required information.
• Setting up modifiers, sizes, quantities, add-ons, and product variations.
• Organizing the menu so customers can easily browse and shop online.
• Assisting with bulk menu uploads and spreadsheet/CSV preparation when appropriate.
• Reviewing menu information for accuracy and consistency.
• Helping organize pickup and delivery options.
• Supporting inventory-related setup within Toast where applicable.
• Assisting with the design and organization of the Loop Foods online storefront.
• Coordinating product photos and ensuring products have appropriate customer-facing images.
• Helping develop featured collections, seasonal sections, bundles, and promotional categories.
• Testing the online ordering experience on both desktop and mobile.
• Identifying and correcting menu, pricing, navigation, or checkout issues.
• Helping prepare the storefront for future integrations with delivery and marketplace platforms.
• Maintaining documentation so staff can easily update products and pricing after launch.

We are especially interested in applicants with experience in Toast, restaurant or grocery POS systems, e-commerce, online grocery stores, digital merchandising, menu management, Shopify, Square, DoorDash, Uber Eats, Instacart, retail operations, or similar platforms.

Experience with spreadsheets, CSV files, bulk product uploads, product photography, or online-store organization is highly desirable.

The ideal candidate should be organized, comfortable working independently, and able to take a large product catalog and turn it into a professional, easy-to-shop online storefront.

This is initially a volunteer position with the potential to transition into a paid role based on performance, program growth, organizational needs, and available funding. A paid transition is not guaranteed.
