Book Research & Online Marketing Volunteer (Auburn)

Organization Mission Join a committed team of volunteers supporting a nonprofit dedicated to protecting animals from cruelty. Our used bookstore in Auburn helps fund critical programs, and we are seeking a volunteer who enjoys books and researching their value to help expand our online sales.

Position Overview The Book Research & Online Marketing Volunteer will research donated books, assess their value, and prepare them for online marketing and ship sold books. You will work independently while following established procedures, surrounded by a great group of volunteers who support one another and the mission.

Responsibilities

• Research and assess the value of donated vintage books
• Create online postings for individual researched books
• Ship books as they sell
• Arrange and maintain in-store vintage book sale area
• Help prepare and set up for bi-annual vintage book sales
• Follow established workflows and take direction as needed

Qualifications

• Enjoys books and online research
• Familiar with social media, eBay and Facebook Marketplace
• Organized, accurate, and able to work independently
• Comfortable taking direction
• Interest in supporting a mission-driven nonprofit

Location Auburn, CA – Nonprofit Used Bookstore

Time Commitment Flexible schedule, typically 6-8 hours per week.
