At Affinity Care of Virginia, we believe that human connection is essential to well-being. Our volunteers provide companionship, warmth, and a sense of belonging. Whether it’s sharing stories over tea, reading aloud, enjoying a game, or simply being present, your time can brighten someone’s day in powerful ways.

As a Hospice volunteer, you can get involved in a variety of meaningful activities, including:

• Companionship: Build genuine relationships through conversation, storytelling, and one-on-one time with residents.
• Activities: Lead or assist with arts and crafts, music, games, or gentle exercise tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents.
• Mealtime Support: Help create a welcoming, social environment during meals by offering friendly companionship.
• Special Events: Join in holiday celebrations and themed events to help bring joy and a festive spirit to our community.

No special experience is needed-just a kind heart and a desire to give your time. We provide all the training and support you'll need to feel confident and prepared.
