We empower children diagnosed with cancer to explore their artistic passions through music, video, art, writing, and performance. Creative expression plays a powerful role in healing, confidence, and self-discovery—and our multimedia content helps share those stories with the world.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Visual Effects Artist to support our Multimedia team by creating high-quality visual effects and motion graphics for digital content, including music videos, short films, and campaign assets created in collaboration with the children we serve. This role is ideal for a creative professional or emerging artist looking to build portfolio-ready work while contributing to a meaningful mission.

You will collaborate with editors, colorists, designers, and creative leadership to bring stories to life through compelling visual effects and animations.

Key Responsibilities

• Create computer-generated visual effects, motion graphics, and animations for video content
• Collaborate with the multimedia team to support music videos, digital campaigns, and storytelling projects
• Develop creative concepts that align with project goals and brand guidelines
• Enhance visuals using lighting, color, texture, shadow, and compositing techniques
• Integrate VFX seamlessly into edited footage to support narrative and emotional impact
• Revise assets based on creative feedback and production timelines
• Maintain organized project files and contribute to collaborative workflows

Skills & Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in visual effects, motion graphics, or video post-production (academic, freelance, or volunteer experience accepted)
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as After Effects, Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, or similar software
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, composition, and animation principles
• Experience producing visuals for music videos or short-form video content
• Ability to collaborate remotely with cross-functional creative teams
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Portfolio or demo reel showcasing relevant VFX or animation work preferred
