We currently have several volunteer opportunities at our ReStores, which are retail stores that sell new and used merchandise to provide funding for building homes.
We are seeking volunteers to assist in the following areas:
Customer Service - These individuals will be walking the sales floor, greeting customers and answering minor customer questions to provide a friendly, comfortable customer environment in our stores. We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to at least 6 hours per week who enjoy meeting and interacting with new people.
Donor Service - These individuals will be monitoring our donation drop-off, greeting donors and occasionally unloading smaller donated items to provide friendly, prompt service to our donors. We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to at least 6 hours per week, are comfortable working outdoors, can performing minor lifting tasks, and enjoy meeting and interacting with new people.
Merchandise Processing - We receive merchandise that has been donated by the community, and occasionally, that merchandise needs some TLC. We are looking for volunteers for two specific tasks in this area: 1) Cleaning furniture or other items and 2) Performing minor repairs to fix damaged items. We are looking for volunteers who are able to commit to at least 6 hours per week who are comfortable occasionally lifting or repositioning merchandise.
