St. Francis Reflections Lifestage Care is in need of certified therapy dogs and owners to visit hospice patients residing in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. A pet companion can improve the quality of one’s life by reducing anxiety, feelings of loneliness, and risk of depression. As a pet therapy volunteer you can expect to share laughs, smiles, and memories with patients while feeling a sense of fulfillment. Visits can be coordinated close to home and schedules are flexible.

Dogs must be well-groomed, at least one year old, have up-to-date health records, and be certified with The Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
