Our National Conversation (ONC) is a non-partisan media nonprofit comprised of student interns and volunteers. Our goal is Less Hate, More Debate. We aim to spread this message and get today's culture away from negativity, finger-pointing, rage-baiting, etc.
We're putting together a group of debaters....those who keep up with the political landscape and are ready 1-2 times per month to have a back-and-forth dialogue via zoom. Enthusiasm, chemistry, wits; these intangibles are highly desired. We edit these sessions afterwards and post onto our social media channels as a podcast.
ONC has 40-50 student interns and a few volunteers. New ideas are always welcome.
Debaters would fall under our Media & Marketing group. This role would be lots of fun for the right person!
This is a volunteer position!

Requirements:
- Able to look and act professional in a virtual setting
- Familiarity with using Zoom (and willing to learn how to use Slack)
- Able to bring energy and enthusiasm to a conversation
- Able to prepare for debates using research and note-taking
