Missouri Prison Books...Help to send books requested by Missouri prison inmates

Missouri Prison Books, established 2019, sends over two thousand books annually to incarcerated persons. All our books are sent free of charge, all our work is done by volunteers. We receive book donations from multiple sources. Some are new, some are gently used, some are marked up or damaged. Volunteers examine each book, determine whether it can be sent to one of the state prisons, categorize it, and file it in our library shelves. We also read letters sent to us by inmates, analyze their requests, select books to be sent to them, wrap them for mailing, and deliver them to the US Post Office.

Our vounteer groups meet Sunday and Thursday afternoons at our offices on Skinker near Washington University.
