Volunteer ESOL Teachers & Teacher Assistants (15-week session starts Feb 22)

A Faith That Does Justice is seeking volunteer ESOL Teachers and Teacher Assistants for our next 15-week session beginning February 22 (excluding vacation weeks). You’ll support adult learners at all levels through virtual classes and in-person classes in Boston, with both morning and evening options.

We provide curriculum, textbooks, training/orientation, and classroom support. Teaching experience is welcome but not required. If you have strong English fluency and a desire to help adults build confidence and opportunity through English, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your role and experience, you may:

• • Teach ESOL lessons for adult learners
  • Support learners during class as a Teacher Assistant
  • Help facilitate small-group practice and conversation
  • Encourage learners and help maintain a welcoming learning environment
  • Coordinate with program staff and follow the provided curriculum/materials

Qualifications

• • Strong English fluency
  • Reliable commitment for the session schedule
  • Positive, supportive, and respectful approach with adult learners
  • Teaching/tutoring experience is welcome but not required
