Join us in making a direct impact on local families by helping the Y keep our two free food pantries filled and welcoming for everyone in the community.
We maintain a “Help Yourself Shelf” in each of our YMCA lobbies (Rockport and Rockland), in partnership with AIO Food Pantry. We’re seeking a dedicated volunteer to:
- Visit the AIO Food Pantry in Rockland once per week to collect donated items
- Deliver and restock the shelves at both YMCA locations (Rockland and Rockport)
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping behind the scenes and wants to make sure no neighbor goes without. Your efforts will help ensure our shelves are always stocked and accessible to all.

¿Cómo llegar?
The volunteer driver will visit three locations:
1) AIO Food Pantry (1A Gordon Drive, Rockland) - Select, weigh and pickup food items
2) Rockland Harbor YMCA (12 Water Street, Rockland)- Deliver and display items in shelves
2) Penobscot Bay YMCA (116 Union Street, Rockport) - Deliver and display items in shelves

All weekly adult volunteers at the YMCA must complete a volunteer application, a background check and complete abuse-prevention training. Our staff will be in touch to provide these materials if you are selected to volunteer.
