Camp Quality USA is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Coordinator (must be APRN, RN, LPN, PA, MD, or DO) to serve in a key volunteer leadership role supporting our Kentuckiana camp. This individual plays a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of campers living with childhood cancer by overseeing medical processes and recruiting/leading the healthcare team.
This is a meaningful opportunity to use your clinical expertise in a mission-driven, camp-based environment that brings joy, support, and community to children and families affected by cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all Camp Quality USA healthcare standards and protocols are followed, especially those outlined in the Healthcare Team Manual
- Review camper & volunteer application medical profiles prior to camp
- Communicate with camper families to clarify medical needs, medications, and care plans
- Collaborate with camp leadership to prepare for safe camp operations
- Lead and support the healthcare team during camp (med pass, documentation, incident response, etc.)
- Help create a safe, supportive, and fun environment for all campers
Time Commitment:
- Pre-camp planning & communications (spring)
- Attendance at camp (1 week: May 31-June 5 in Leitchfield, KY)
- Occasional check-ins with camp leadership throughout the year. - this is a one year commitment with annual review & reappointment.
