Client Check-In & Registration

Overview:

As a Client Check-In & Registration Volunteer, you will be one of the first friendly faces our clients see when they arrive at the pantry. This role helps ensure a smooth and welcoming experience by assisting with sign-in, verifying client information, and directing guests through the shopping process.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist clients with sign-in and registration forms.
• Verify client information (such as household size or visit eligibility).
• Distribute number cards, clipboards, or shopping sheets as needed.
• Communicate with pantry staff and other volunteers to keep the client flow organized.
• Maintain confidentiality and treat all clients with respect and compassion.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Friendly, patient, and dependable.
• Comfortable interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Basic computer or clipboard tracking skills (training provided).
• Ability to remain calm in a busy environment.

Time Commitment:

Shifts are typically 3 hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays. Volunteers can serve weekly, bi-weekly, or as their schedule allows.
