    About Yadestiny Treasure Chest:

At Yadestiny Treasure Chest (YTC), we believe "It's not a hand-me-down, it's a turn-around." We are a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to cultivating spaces that provide youth with sustainable opportunities in fashion, media, and entrepreneurship. From providing quality clothing to equipping youth with creative tools and business mentorship, YTC transforms donations into confidence and self-sustaining success.

    Role Overview

Are you a proactive, results-driven strategist passionate about empowering youth? Yadestiny Treasure Chest is seeking an autonomous, self-motivated Volunteer Fundraising Manager to lead our revenue-generation initiatives.

In this role, you will take full ownership of designing and executing YTC’s fundraising strategies—ranging from individual donor campaigns and corporate sponsorships to grant pursuits and peer-to-peer initiatives. Operating without hand-holding, you will collaborate closely with internal teams (HR, Programs, and Events) to secure the vital resources needed to fulfill our mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Fundraising Leadership: Develop, execute, and manage a multi-channel fundraising strategy to meet YTC’s annual revenue goals (including campaigns supporting our goal to equip 1,600+ youth annually).
    • Donor & Sponsor Cultivation: Proactively research, identify, and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, local businesses, and community sponsors.
    • Campaign & Appeal Ownership: Lead digital and grassroots fundraising campaigns (e.g., peer-to-peer drives, recurring giving programs, and seasonal campaigns like our "Gift $16" initiatives).
    • Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
      • Partner with Programs: Align fundraising goals directly with YTC’s core offerings, such as the Treasures of Tomorrow mentorship initiative, youth business pitch contests, and wardrobe distribution drives.
      • Partner with HR: Work alongside HR to recruit, onboard, and retain dedicated volunteer fundraisers or campaign helpers as needed.
      • Partner with Events: Collaborate with the Events team to maximize revenue generation for signature YTC events (e.g., annual galas, sneaker balls, and community clothing drives).
    • Grant Research & Proposals: Identify relevant foundation and corporate grant opportunities, drafting compelling proposals and managing reporting timelines independently.
    • Tracking & Analytics: Monitor fundraising metrics, manage donor databases/CRM tools, and provide clear progress reports to the Executive Board.

    Required Skills & Mindset

    • Self-Starter & Autonomous Operator: Exceptional drive and initiative; proven capability to work independently, establish goals, and drive projects from concept to completion with minimal direct supervision.
    • Resourcefulness & Creativity: Ability to craft compelling stories around YTC’s mission that inspire financial support from diverse audiences.
    • Strong Communication & Networking: Highly persuasive written and verbal communication skills, comfortable making direct asks to corporate sponsors and donors.
    • Cross-Functional Team Player: Highly collaborative mindset with a track record of working seamlessly across remote departments.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Experience: 2+ years of experience in fundraising, donor development, grant writing, sales, or non-profit campaign management (nonprofit volunteer leadership experience is a plus).
    • Education: Degree or coursework in Non-Profit Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
    • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with donor databases/CRMs, crowdfunding platforms, and digital communication tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Canva, email marketing tools).
