Mothers and Children Uganda is a community initiative dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and struggling mothers in Jinja City. Our mission is to ensure that children have access to basic needs such as food, care, education support, and a safe environment.
We welcome compassionate volunteers who would like to help provide meals and support to vulnerable children in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Help prepare and serve meals for children at the center.
- Assist with organizing food donations and supplies.
- Support children during meal times and daily activities.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and feeding areas.
- Participate in community outreach to support more vulnerable families.
- Assist with simple activities such as reading, games, or homework support.
Qualifications:
- Compassion and interest in supporting vulnerable children.
- Willingness to work with children and local communities.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills in English.
- Experience in childcare, social work, education, or community work is an added advantage but not required.
Other Details:
- Volunteers can stay and support the program for 4–6 weeks or longer.
- Volunteers will experience Ugandan culture and community life.
- The work directly impacts the wellbeing of vulnerable children by ensuring they receive nutritious meals and care.
