Position Title: Volunteer Program Instructor (Part-Time Commitment)

Position Overview
The Volunteer Program Instructor supports the delivery of structured programming for youth and young adults through The Difference Society. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about education, mentorship, and community impact, and who are willing to commit their time consistently to support program success.
Volunteer Program Instructors will assist with leading and facilitating workshops focused on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, career development, and life skills. This is an active role that requires engagement, leadership, and the ability to support a structured classroom environment.
This position also serves as a pipeline for future paid opportunities within The Difference Society.
Time: 1:15pm-3:15pm
Days: Wednesday's ( ending in May)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with facilitating workshops and classroom instruction
- Support delivery of lesson plans in an engaging and structured manner
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Work directly with students through activities, discussions, and projects
- Provide support to lead instructors during sessions
- Assist with preparation and organization of materials before and after class
- Support attendance tracking and basic classroom logistics
- Represent The Difference Society professionally at all program sites
Expectations
- Commit to a consistent weekly schedule (part-time volunteer basis)
- Arrive on time and prepared for each session
- Be reliable and communicate in advance regarding any conflicts
- Take initiative and actively support classroom instruction
- Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful attitude
- Follow all program and site guidelines
Qualifications
- Interest in working with youth and supporting their development
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and connect with students
- Dependable and able to commit to a regular schedule
- Prior experience working with youth is a plus, but not required
Time Commitment
- Part-time volunteer role based on program schedule
- Typically aligned with after-school, in-school, or community program hours
- Consistent attendance and reliability are required to maintain program quality
