What will you do?
As a member of the Data Protection Officer (DPO) team, you will:
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Volt Europa’s data protection policies in compliance with the GDPR and other relevant legislation.
- Handle data subject access requests and other privacy-related inquiries.
- Assist in drawing up joint controllership agreements and similar documents.
- Collaborate with Volt Europa’s internal teams and European branches to ensure consistent data protection standards.
- Help train others on data protection best practices.
- Monitor regulatory developments in data privacy and suggest necessary updates to our policies.
What we’re looking for
- Familiarity with the GDPR and European data protection frameworks.
- Experience working in or studying data protection, compliance, legal, or related fields is highly desirable but not compulsory.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex data protection concepts in simple terms.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and proactive approach.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
- Commitment to Volt Europa’s values of transparency, democracy, and citizen empowerment.
