JA Career Days puts volunteers into every classroom of the school to share with students the importance of education and choosing jobs and careers. Volunteers will be in each classroom for approximately 20-30 minutes to discuss their current careers, any past careers, and educational journey. They have the chance to visit several classrooms over the course of one morning. Volunteers are encouraged to bring any show-and-tell items that can help illustrate what they do, or create an age-appropriate activity to showcase their career field. Volunteers are encouraged to share their experiences and engage students in discussions of careers and education. JA can provide handouts and suggested discussion topics if needed. Choose from these events:
- Friday, January 16th - Centennial Elementary School
- Friday, February 27th - Monroe Elementary School
