Role Summary:

The Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Financial Analyst will support the financial planning, analysis, and modeling of projects focused on climate and sustainability initiatives. This role ensures that NbS programs are financially viable, scalable, and aligned with our mission by providing insights that guide investment decisions, funding strategies, and long-term impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop financial models and forecasts for nature-based solutions projects and initiatives.
• Analyze project costs, funding structures, and return on impact to support strategic decision-making.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, and resource allocation across NbS programs.
• Conduct research on climate finance mechanisms, including carbon markets, grants, and blended finance.
• Collaborate with program and partnerships teams to align financial strategies with project goals.

Requirements:

• Background in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in financial analysis, modeling, or budgeting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel or other financial modeling tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with climate finance, carbon markets, or sustainability-related investments.
• Experience working on nonprofit, environmental, or impact-driven projects.
• Understanding of nature-based solutions and their economic implications.
