We are seeking compassionate volunteer instructors to support adults working toward their GED and building essential computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Our students are justice-impacted individuals rebuilding their lives and striving for a second chance through education, stability, and empowerment.
As a volunteer instructor, you will help teach basic reading, writing, math, or computer skills in a supportive, judgment-free environment. You’ll work with small groups or one-on-one learners, follow structured lesson guides, and help students build confidence as they prepare for GED testing or develop digital literacy needed for employment.
No formal teaching experience is required; just patience, professionalism, and a desire to help people grow. Volunteers should be comfortable breaking down concepts in simple steps, encouraging adult learners, and maintaining a welcoming, trauma-informed classroom space. Training and curriculum guidance are provided.
This is a powerful opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of individuals seeking transformation, independence, and hope. Volunteers can serve weekly, biweekly, or monthly depending on availability.
