    About Us:

The Donovan’s Venom is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on curating universal accessibility to fine arts and music education for all. We are passionately dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to high-quality music education, performance opportunities, and fine art. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift communities by fostering a love for music and the arts through our commitment to education, inclusivity, diversity, and social impact, which drives us to expand our reach continually and enrich the lives of those we serve.

We’re looking for a UX/UI Computer Game Designer to join our growing team who is responsible for crafting user interfaces and interactive experiences that are intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with the game’s design and artistic vision. This role ensures players can seamlessly navigate menus, HUDs (heads-up displays), inventories, and other in-game systems while maintaining immersion and user satisfaction.

    What you’ll do:

    • Design and prototype user interfaces for in-game menus, HUDs, settings, inventory systems, skill trees, etc.
    • Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive mockups to communicate design ideas.
    • Collaborate with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure UI supports gameplay mechanics.
    • Conduct user research and playtesting to gather feedback on usability and accessibility.
    • Optimize UI/UX designs for various screen sizes, resolutions, and platforms (PC, console, mobile).
    • Work closely with engineers to implement and iterate on UI elements within the game engine (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).
    • Develop and maintain UI style guides, documentation, and asset libraries.Ensure consistency in design language, interaction patterns, and user experience throughout the game.

    What we’re looking for:

    • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, preferably in games or interactive media.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator.
    • Familiarity with game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine) and UI scripting workflows.
    • Strong understanding of interaction design, usability principles, and game design fundamentals.
    • Ability to design accessible interfaces with attention to diverse player needs (color blindness, motor skills, etc.).
    • Strong visual design skills and a good sense of layout, typography, and iconography.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
    • Experience with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects).
    • Knowledge of player psychology and game UX best practices.
    • Familiarity with Agile or iterative development environments.
