Calling All PA Students: Gain Meaningful Patient Experience in Hospice Care Future Physician Assistants know that medicine is not only about treatment. It is about listening, compassion, and understanding patients during the most important moments of their lives.

Hospice volunteering offers a unique opportunity to gain real patient-facing experience while making a meaningful difference.

As a Hospice Companion Volunteer, you may:

• Visit with hospice patients one-on-one
• Provide conversation and companionship
• Listen to life stories and experiences
• Support patients and families during the end-of-life journey
• Work alongside an interdisciplinary hospice team

This experience helps students develop communication skills, empathy, and patient-centered care that PA programs value.
