Drive a Senior to an Appointment!

Are you looking for a simple way to help someone in our community? Are you a safe driver?

Becoming a Volunteer driver is an opportunity that can really make a difference in the quality of someone's life! Our Team of Volunteers help seniors and those with disabilities stay mobile with ride assistance.

Transportation is an essential need among older adults in our community, and it is the most requested senior independence service. Many seniors are no longer driving but still have doctor appointments to get to and errands to run. You can assist these individuals by volunteering!

As a volunteer driver, you assign yourself to requested trips that fit well with your schedule and transport the consumer in your own vehicle. Most transportation requests are for medical appointments, but we also accept transports to grocery stores, community centers, banks, hair salons, shopping centers, and social events.

If you would like more information about volunteering with Family Service Rochester, please reach out to a member of our Volunteer Engagement Team at 507-287-2010 or volunteers@familyservicerochester.org or sign up to volunteer via the Volunteer Portal.

Thank you or considering this opportunity!
