During this event, volunteers will remove invasive herbaceous plants. Depending on site needs and group capacity, there may also be some shrub cutting. This type of restoration work helps protect native plants and wildlife habitat, and we’ll be using a “sweeping” method—systematically scanning the area on foot, often off-trail. Register here.

What to wear and bring:
- Long pants, tall socks, and closed-toe shoes
- Lightweight, breathable clothing for hot weather
- A reusable water bottle
- Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
- We’ll provide gloves, tools, and instruction
Please note:
- Workday sites have unpaved trails and will require going off-trail
- Terrain may be hilly, uneven, or overgrown
- You may encounter plants with thorns, poison ivy, and stinging insects
- Ticks and mosquitoes may be present—consider using insect repellent
- There is little to no shade on site and it will likely be hot
- All minors must be accompanied by a guardian
