ABOUT THE CHURCHES: The Rochester Affinity Church Plant Network is launching a family of new churches across Rochester, each designed for people that traditional churches may not fit. As a Volunteer Co-Pastor you serve at ONE of them — you pick: Second Half (Penfield) — intergenerational, seniors with young families, Sundays 8:00–11:00 AM. North Star — Church of the Arts (Downtown) — activists, artists, creatives, Sundays 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. Lord's Supper Church — communion and a shared meal at rotating restaurants, Sundays 1:30 PM. Church of Joy (Winton/Hillside) — evening church of Bible, comedy, and encouragement, Sundays 6:00 PM. Church of the Garden — Saturday-morning garden church.

THE ROLE: Serve alongside another co-pastor leading one congregation. This is a volunteer position — no pay. 3-month term with a review at the end of each term (fit, workload, calling); either side may renew, adjust, or conclude at each review.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Sundays — service set-up, coordinate the service and oversee volunteers, assist with teaching/arts/skills classes, guest and member follow-up, teaching/preaching schedule with the other co-pastor, discipleship and programs. We start from scratch; initial goal is 15 attendees per church. Mid-week — lead or assist a weekly Bible study. Leadership — follow the direction of the church board, quarterly planning with the other co-pastor, oversee the life of the church, serve as an ambassador in the community.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: A committed follower of Jesus; a team player who can lead volunteers and take direction from a board; organized, relational, dependable; comfortable teaching or willing to grow into it; willing to complete a background check (required for roles involving children); previous pastoral experience welcome but not required.
