Hospice Volunteer Opportunity – Give a Caregiver a Moment to Breathe - Most hospice patients have loving families who are doing everything they can to care for them - caregivers are balancing jobs, school-aged children...sometimes what a caregiver needs most is a couple of hours to step away

Volunteers spend a short visit with the patient so the caregiver can step away knowing their loved one is not alone.

Your visit might include:

Talking and listening

Holding a hand

Playing a simple game

Listening to music

Looking at photos

Or just sitting quietly together

Volunteers do not provide any medical care. All medical needs are handled by the hospice team before and after the visit. Visits are kept short so the caregiver can return before any medical care is needed.

Your presence provides comfort to the patient and peace of mind to the family.
