BioWatch Beaver Project — Adult Project Advisor
Descripción
Descripción
Help young scientists keep eyes on a returning engineer.
The Adult Project Advisor for the BioWatch Beaver Project mentors the Youth Project Lead for a targeted trail-camera beaver monitoring project in the Indian Mounds gully, in partnership with the City of Bloomington. You will support field safety and logistics, help the youth lead plan camera checks and footage review, and back up partner-facing communication when an adult voice is useful.
You will not take the project over: the youth lead leads, and your craft is making that leadership safe, steady, and credible. A background check and youth-protection training are required before working with youth.
The Green Crew is a youth-led science-based environmental leadership and conservation service program, and a proud program of the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. Cameras are checked and footage is reviewed during Sunday project days (12:00–4:00 PM), while the crew is together, plus a few planning hours a month.
