Food Distribution Traffic Team Lead

We have a monthly Military & Veterans Food Distribution each month serving over 100 at-risk military and veterans with food items. Do you have a Logistic Brain? Do you enjoy serving the military community? This might be a great fit for you!

Job Duties for Food Distribution Traffic Team Coordinator:

1. Traffic Management
   • Oversee the flow of vehicles during food distribution events.
   • Ensure smooth and safe traffic operations.
   • Ensure all of the registered attendees are signed in and served.
2. Volunteer Coordination
   • Recruit, train, and supervise traffic team volunteers.
   • Schedule and assign tasks to traffic team volunteers.
3. Safety Enforcement
   • Implement and enforce safety protocols for vehicles and pedestrians.
   • Provide safety training to traffic team volunteers and participants.
4. Communication
   • Serve as the point of contact for traffic-related inquiries.
   • Coordinate with distribution site volunteers.
5. Planning and Setup
   • Assist in planning traffic logistics for distribution events.
   • Set up traffic cones, signs, and barriers or coordinate with your volunteer team to execute.
6. Problem-Solving
   • Address traffic issues and resolve conflicts on-site.
   • Adapt plans as needed to ensure efficient traffic flow.
7. Record Keeping
   • Ensure all records of attendees for the event are updated and given to Soldiers' Angels
   • Report on traffic management outcomes and areas for improvement.

Time Committment: 5-10 hours a month. Must be available on the 4th Friday of each month. 7:30 am-1:00 pm. Some Fridays will vary due to holidays and other scheduling conflicts.

Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older
