Volunteer Leadership Role (Community Event Planning and Execution)

Location: Preferred: Bucks County, PA or Cleveland, OH area

Time Commitment: Varies by event schedule (approximately 8-15 hours per month)

About The Big Puddle: The Big Puddle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide resources and support to people living with disabilities, homelessness, those who are medically fragile, or experiencing mental health challenges. Through partnerships with home and community-based service providers, we bridge gaps in equitable care by providing funding and support for services that are currently out of reach including daily living skills, assistive technology, employment services, mental health programs, companion hospital support, and mentoring programs.

About the Role: Oversee all aspects of community event planning and execution, both online and in-person. This leadership position will build community connections and create meaningful experiences that advance our mission.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute both virtual and in-person community events
• Recruit and manage event volunteers
• Coordinate logistics, vendors, and venues
• Develop event budgets and track expenses
• Collaborate with other committees and board members
• Evaluate event success and gather community feedback

Qualifications:

• Proven experience planning and executing events (virtual and/or in-person)
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and volunteers
• Budget management experience
• Local connections in Bucks County, PA or Cleveland, OH area preferred
• Flexibility and creative problem-solving abilities
