Role Title: Executive Director– Philanthropy & Development
Reports To: Board Chair
Direct Reports: Development Intern
Location: Remote (ideally in the NYC metro area with travel to NY as needed). Will consider other areas in the United States for the right candidate.
About the Role
Working closely with the Board Chair and Development Board, the Executive Director- of Philanthropy & Development (ED) is accountable for helping to achieve the fundraising and new business development goals of the organization by growing our corporate, high net-worth donor pool and major gift contributions, expanding our donor base, and by managing in person and virtual donor relationships and external engagements. The ED’s primary focus will be to set up short-term face-to-face or virtual engagements to introduce the foundation and discuss regranting and intermediary partnerships with larger foundations and donor collaboratives that focus on our key areas of Birth & Reproductive Justice, Health Equity, Children, Girls, LGBTQ+, Racial Justice, Family Equity, Crisis & Rapid Response, and Gender Based Violence. You will work closely with GFG’s current leadership for leads, introductions, and direction, as well as being expected to cultivate your own meetings using your pre-existing and new contacts.
The ED will not be responsible for grant writing, grant portals, grants administration, operations and gearing up the foundation but will have support in these areas.

This position is perfect for a volunteer consultant who is in between roles, a freelancer, or a seasoned development professional. The opportunity could also serve as a great stepping stone for a middle management fund development director looking to support their career growth.

compensation
This is a volunteer consultant position with no benefits. A modest monthly stipend will be given until seed funds are raised.
