Descripción
The Circle’s Edge, Inc. is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to reduce loneliness and isolation through community connection, peer support, arts, events, and outreach.
We are looking for a creative, dependable volunteer to help more people discover our organization, activities, art exhibits, community gatherings, volunteer opportunities, and special events.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in social media, marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, nonprofit work, or community outreach.
Volunteers may help with:
- Creating and scheduling social media posts for upcoming events and activities
- Help us spread the word! Share and promote The Circle’s Edge events and activities through your own social media, as well as relevant Facebook groups, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, community pages, online calendars, and other appropriate platforms. Help us reach people who may benefit from our programs but don't know we exist yet.
• Promoting events through Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, community calendars, and local online groups
• Helping create flyers, graphics, short videos, Reels, Stories, and promotional materials
• Writing or editing event descriptions, announcements, press releases, and outreach messages
• Contacting local colleges, libraries, disability organizations, senior programs, community groups, media outlets, and other potential partners
• Helping promote our art exhibits, weekly activities, holiday gatherings, fundraisers, and outreach projects
• Finding new ways to reach autistic and neurodivergent adults, people with disabilities, seniors, students, isolated adults, and others looking for community
• Helping keep our event information current across our website, Linktree, public calendar, VolunteerMatch/Idealist, and social media
You do NOT need to be an expert in everything listed above. We are happy to match projects to your interests and skills.
This opportunity can be done largely remotely, with optional opportunities to attend events and activities in the Albany/Capital Region of New York.
Students, interns, people seeking community-service hours, retirees, and volunteers interested in building a communications or nonprofit portfolio are welcome to apply.
