Brookside Park Neighborhood Tree Planting

Interested in making a positive impact on your community that will last years? Sign-up to join the KIB team to plant 98 native trees and add to the urban tree canopy in the Brookside Park neighborhood! With your help, the trees we plant will bring the benefits of cleaner air, carbon mitigation, and stormwater retention to Indianapolis communities. The tree planting demonstration will begin at 9:05am the latest, please be sure to arrive to find parking ahead of the start time to ensure you learn how to properly plant a tree.

Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. We always recommend bringing a reusable water bottle but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide tools and gloves.

Parking and Facilities: Parking is located at the Brookside Park Community Center located at 3500 Brookside Pkwy S Dr. Please follow KIB signage to the parking lot in front of the community center. The Brookside Community Center opens at 10am and has restrooms inside.

Transportation Information: Bus number 11 stop at Brookside Pkwy S Dr & Ewing St and is a 4 minute walk to the project site. Click here to plan your trip with IndyGo!
