Because our organization handles sensitive healthcare information, HIPAA regulations prevent volunteers from accessing our patient database or our internal website analytics and tracking systems.

OPT Compliance Requirements

All volunteer activities must comply with U.S. immigration regulations governing F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT).

After we give you an offer to Sponsor you as an OPT f1 volunteer for MatchingDonors.com, please confirm with your Designated School Official (DSO) or International Student Advisor that:

• Your proposed volunteer role is directly related to your field of study.
• The position qualifies for your OPT requirements.
• Your school approves your proposed volunteer activities.
• You will meet any minimum weekly hour requirements established by your school.
• You are eligible to participate in this unpaid volunteer opportunity.

Obtaining your school's approval is your responsibility.

Once your school approves your proposed role, we will gladly provide a sponsorship letter describing your volunteer position for submission to your school.
