Volunteer Etsy Specialist

About us

LOT2545 is a small U.S. 501(c)(3) working with street-connected young people in Uganda. We work with a group of women in Uganda who make handmade jewelry. They're paid a fair wage for every piece, and we cover all the materials. Profits from sales help run our programs and keep kids in school.

Here's the honest situation: we have a lot of jewelry and it needs to sell. Our Etsy shop (www.etsy.com/shop/lot2545) has listings that are tired, and nobody has had time to really work on it. That's where you come in.

What we need help with

• Revamp existing listings. Rewrite titles, descriptions, and tags so people can actually find our stuff. Update photos where needed, or help us figure out how to take better ones.
• Create new listings. We have more inventory than what's currently up. Help us get it listed.
• Push the shop. Help us get eyes on it, whether that's Etsy ads, SEO, social media, seasonal promotions, or whatever you think will actually work.
• Set us up to keep it going. Leave us with a simple system so the shop doesn't go quiet again after you're done.

Who we're looking for

• Real experience selling on Etsy, ideally handmade jewelry or crafts
• Knows Etsy SEO and how the search algorithm works
• Good writer who can tell the story behind the pieces honestly, without making it sound like a charity pitch
• Comfortable working with someone in a different time zone (Uganda is UTC+3)

Details

• Remote
• About 5-10 hours per month

How to apply

Send a short note to info@lot2545.org about your Etsy experience. If you've run or helped with a shop before, send a link. That tells me more than a resume would.
