Our Volunteer Mentor position provides support to a struggling youth or young adult (mentee aging anywhere from 8 to 18 years or older) impacted by the foster care system. The mentor will be a consistent figure and role model offering counsel and friendship. The support mentors provide is tailored to the mentee’s specific needs and is crucially needed to encourage and support them. This is accomplished by your willingness to meet and build a lifelong connection through one-on-one visits with a mentee. Below are the three main requirements of the mentor program to help meet this need:
Mentors meet with their mentee a minimum four hours per month
Mentors commit to at least one year (opportunity to re-evaluate at 90 days)
Christians in agreement with our statement of faith and either have or be actively looking for a home church
