Without our volunteers, we would be history! Each year, the museum relies on over 100 volunteers and interns to support our mission to build a lasting connection to the Pikes Peak region by preserving and sharing our cultural history. We are looking for volunteers that share our values, want to give back to their community, and are willing to learn and grow.
Front Desk Volunteers are part of the Museum's customer service team. These wonderful volunteers set the tone for the visitor’s experience with a welcoming and informative greeting. You will be trained how to greet visitors, utilize the computer to perform a variety of basic functions, answer calls, and how to share information about the Museum with guests. You will also support the staff in other projects as needed. Most volunteers have a dedicated 3.5 hour weekly shift. We are also recruiting on-call volunteers to fill openings as they are available.
Available Shifts:
If we have current openings that fit your interests and experience, a member of our staff will be in touch to arrange an in-person interview.
Please note that CSPM volunteers are required to be 18 or older. We have a summer Junior Docent program for teens that you can learn more about at cspm.org/juniordocents.
The museum is part of the City of Colorado Springs' Cultural Services Department. Volunteers are required to adhere to the City's volunteer policies and procedures, which includes passing a background check and creating a CERVIS account.
