Volunteer for the 2026 Greater Los Angeles County Homeless Count

The Greater Los Angeles Homeless Count is the annual census that counts our neighbors experiencing unsheltered homelessness. Through the Count, local governments and service organizations are better able to direct and advocate for vital services to support the needs of our unhoused neighbors. Partner with the City of Glendora staff and your neighbors to participate in this important Count, taking place January 21, 2026, at 6:00pm in the City of Glendora. After signing up below, meet us at the La Fetra Center at 333 E. Foothill Blvd, Glendora, 91741.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome but minors will need to be accompanied by an adult and a special waiver for minors will need to be completed at the time of check-in.

A brief training will be provided before deployment so no experience is necessary!

Volunteers will be paired up and assigned census tract(s) to drive through. A driver will ensure that every street and alley is covered and a passenger will use the Quick Capture app on their phone so the team's progress can be tracked virtually. The passenger will also note through the app if an individual, a vehicle, or makeshift shelter has been observed. The passenger will keep a physical backup on pencil and paper. All materials and maps will be provided at the time of deployment.

Once your census tract(s) are complete, return to the deployment site and turn in your materials. City/County staff will verify the data gathered and submit all materials to the County for analysis.
