Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
Delivery Driver: A volunteer is needed to deliver Meals on Thursday mornings. Drivers arrive at the center to pick up meals between 9:15-9:30am, and deliveries are typically done by 11:00am. Due to the nature of what we do and the training, we tend to look for volunteers who are wanting to volunteer on an ongoing basis versus just once or twice.
Qualifications: Communication skills, flexibility, attention to detail, accuracy, people skills, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders. This is an on-going volunteer commitment.
Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be at least 18 years of age, and have a Washington state driver’s license and insurance.
