Position Description: Grant Manager

Position Type: Volunteer (Unpaid)

Time Commitment: Flexible; 5–10 hours per week

Start Date: Immediate

Reports to: Development Manager

Location: Primarily remote.

Position Overview

Deliverance Charities is seeking a Grants Manager to oversee and support a small grants team. This role is responsible for organizing the grant development process, supporting team members with training and documentation, and helping ensure grant applications and reports are completed accurately and on time.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and familiar with grant research, writing, and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the work of a small grants team
• Support grant research, proposal preparation, and submission
• Help develop and maintain grant templates, documentation, and internal guidelines
• Provide basic training and guidance for team members involved in grant writing
• Track grant deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
• Assist with grant reporting and follow-up documentation for funders
• Maintain organized records of grant opportunities, submissions, and outcomes

Qualifications

• Experience with grant writing, grant research, or nonprofit fundraising
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and coordinate with a small team
• Clear written communication skills
• Familiarity with nonprofit grant processes is preferred

Work Environment: Our team is collaborative and supportive, using tools Google Gmail, Chat and Space to stay connected and work efficiently.

Schedule:

• Self-determined schedule
• At least 5 hours a week, anything more is appreciated
• Monthly updates and check ins submitted via email or chat.
