Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lackawanna County . A few hours a week. A lifetime of impact. Children who have experienced abuse or neglect in our community are waiting for someone like you to speak up for their best interests. With a CASA volunteer, children are more likely to find a safe, permanent home.
Become an advocate for a child or sibling group in the foster care system. A trained CASA volunteer is appointed by a judge to be an advocate for children, to give them hope, support, and encouragement, and to ensure that their voices are heard as the juvenile court system seeks safe, permanent, and nurturing homes.
Training for this opportunity begins Summer 2025- sign up now!
