ESL Teachers

Each year, we have the privilege of meeting new neighbors while welcoming back familiar faces. During registration, students complete a language assessment so they can be placed in the class that best fits their current English level. Classes meet every Wednesday from 6:30–8:00 p.m. and follow the DeKalb County school calendar for holidays and breaks. Classes begin August 12.
This school year will take us into our TWENTIETH year of ESL ministry. Last year, more than 170 students registered, over 50 completed the full program, and many others joined our waiting list. We look forward to creating space for even more learners this year.
This ministry is about far more than learning English. It is about building relationships, encouraging confidence, and reminding our neighbors that they are welcomed, valued, and loved.
You don't need teaching experience or to speak Spanish—just a willingness to encourage others. Our teachers serve in teams, and there are opportunities to help even if you can't commit every Wednesday.
