Pond Restoration at Se7en Wetlands
Descripción
Descripción
Join Se7en Wetlands for a hands-on morning of environmental restoration! We'll be planting native plants at Outreach Pond, an area of ongoing restoration. This small pond was once full of invasive species - with your help, it will become a healthy ecosystem! Your efforts will directly help restore habitat for native wildlife. Enjoy a fun tram ride to and from the restoration site!
No experience is required for this event! Please RSVP to participate.
Note: Volunteers will likely get dirty! Please wear clothes you are okay with getting some dirt on. Rubber boots or hiking boots are recommended.
Please arrive promptly at 8:30AM - a tram will transport volunteers from the parking area to the restoration site and will leave at the event start time. The restoration site is approximately 1.5 miles from the entrance.
Volunteers will be provided with snacks and water but we recommend you bring:
- Closed-Toed Shoes *REQUIRED*
- Sun protection (sunscreen and hat)
- Reusable Water Bottle
- Favorite Gardening Gloves (we will provide if you do not have your own)
- Extra shovel (we will provide some!)
- Rubber boots or waders (if you would like to plant near the waters edge)
