About Black Boarders Nation
Black Boarders Nation (BBN) is a registered nonprofit boarding community in the Philly-NYC corridor. We run weekly longboard ride-outs in Philadelphia, monthly snowboard sessions at Big SNOW, free community slide clinics, and a youth scholarship program opening doors to action sports for riders ages 12-21. We put Black riders front and center, and everybody's welcome on the street and the hill.
The role
You're the face of Black Boarders Nation when we're in the room. At pop-ups, collabs, community events, and ride days across the Philly-NYC corridor, you're the one holding the vibe down — talking to people, repping the mission, making sure everybody who pulls up feels welcome.
What you'll do
• Rep BBN at events, pop-ups, and collabs — partner ride days, community jams, skate shop events
• Talk to people about the mission: who we are, what we run, how to get involved
• Hand out promo cards and flyers, collect sign-ups
• Show up in BBN gear and set the tone — welcoming, real, no ego
Time commitment: Event-based — a few hours per event, usually weekends. Come to what you can.
Location: In person — Philly-NYC corridor. Reliable transportation a plus.
What you bring: You ride (longboard, skateboard, or snowboard), you're good with people, and you carry the mission well. No repping experience needed — just be yourself.
Good for: riders, connectors, anyone who's the plug in their scene.
