Pop-up book sale at Farragut Field Day!

Carpe Librum is a used bookstore benefiting Turning the Page, an education nonprofit dedicated to developing literacy programs for elementary and middle school students in Wards 7 and 8. We will be popping up in Farragut Square for fundraising book sales through 2026: Wednesdays, May 13, 20, and 27; June 3, 10, 17, and 24; and September 9. We will need volunteers to help us set up in the morning and box up in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and positive educational outcomes in the DC public school students.

Can you lend a hand?

The first shift is from 9 am-10:30 am, helping to set up tables and shelve books by genre.

The second shift is from 4:30 pm-6:00 pm, helping to pack up books.
