Join Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and Downtown Indy Alliance to help tackle litter in the Lockerbie Square neighborhood. Cleaning litter beautifies our city while protecting our local ecosystems, including our soil, waterways, plants, and wildlife, from pollution. Litter prevention is one of the easiest things we can do to keep our city clean, but it takes all of us doing our part!
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide all supplies, such as litter grabbers, gloves, and trash bags.
Parking + Facilities: Please park in the lot East of The Sol Center. The Sol Center is proving restrooms.

Neighborhood Information: Lockerbie Square is a historic downtown neighborhood located just northeast of Monument Circle. It is Indianapolis’ oldest surviving residential neighborhood and one of the city’s most treasured historic districts. Known for its brick streets, preserved historic homes, gas street-lamps, and a charming walkable atmosphere right in the heart of downtown.
Fun Fact: Lockerbie Square was home to Indiana’s beloved Hoosier Poet, James Whitcomb Riley. His preserved home is now the James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home.
