CLENT Africa is looking for a dedicated and resourceful Volunteer Executive Virtual Assistant (EVA) to support our environmental conservation and sustainability initiatives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience.
As a volunteer EVA, you will assist with managing calendars, organizing travel, preparing reports, handling inboxes, and performing other administrative tasks.
Ideal candidates are highly organized, tech-savvy, and willing to learn; including gaining proficiency with GitHub for project management tasks.
Responsibilities
Your volunteer duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Completing administrative tasks and projects on time with accuracy
- Delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision
- Providing excellent customer service to the team and stakeholders
- Ensuring prompt responses to correspondence, inquiries, and concerns
- Preparing for meetings and ensuring materials are ready in advance
- Preparing for live events and ensuring everything is organized
- Coordinating the daily calendars of senior managers
- Managing incoming memos, emails, and submissions
- Organizing travel and accommodations for executives and team members
- Performing office duties, including managing records and databases
- Organizing data, creating documents, and spreadsheets
- Preparing research and briefing documents
- Suggesting more efficient ways to run office operations and troubleshooting tech malfunctions

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in administrative roles; previous experience in a virtual environment is a plus
- Willingness to learn and use GitHub for project management
- Ability to organize workloads by priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently and think proactively
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage social media accounts & act on behalf of executives in various things
- Experience with Google Suite Apps and/or Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools, including GitHub
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, remote environment
- Passion for environmental conservation and sustainability
- Able to work as part of a team and independently
Computer Requirements
Home Wireless System:
- Strong and secure internet connection
- Use of a firewall and strong passwords for network security
Computer:
- Two-factor authentication enabled for security
- Strong security software (McAfee, Norton, MalwareBytes, etc.)
- Use of tethering or VPN to protect internet usage
Additional Information
- Commitment: We are seeking volunteers who can dedicate a minimum of 10–15 hours per week. The schedule is flexible, but some availability during standard business hours is preferred.
- Location: Fully remote
- Start Date: We are looking for volunteers who can start within 1–2 weeks of applying.
