Board of Directors: Treasurer

About the Role: Anchor & Legacy With A Purpose, Inc. is seeking a fiscally responsible and mission-driven leader to serve as our founding Treasurer. As we build our mentorship and memorial assistance programs in Dorchester, the Treasurer will be the primary overseer of our financial health and transparency.

Key Responsibilities (Per Bylaws):

• Financial Oversight: Maintain accurate records of all receipts and disbursements for the corporation.
• Budgeting: Work with the President to create annual budgets for our programs (The Legacy Lab, Grief Circles, etc.).
• Reporting: Present a brief financial report at monthly Board meetings to ensure all Directors understand our current standing.
• Compliance: Assist in the preparation of the annual IRS Form 990-N (e-Postcard) and Massachusetts Form PC filings.
• Banking: Act as a co-signer on the organizational bank account and manage digital donation platforms.

Qualifications:

• Financial Literacy: Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, banking, or business management is highly preferred.
• Integrity: A high level of personal and professional ethics.
• Mission-Driven: A commitment to youth development and supporting families impacted by community trauma and loss.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to keep receipts and records organized for future audits or grant reporting.
