Spanish Language Ministry Translator

Role Purpose:

To expand the reach of Elijah Mercy Ministries to Spanish-speaking communities by faithfully and accurately translating spoken and written content from English to Spanish. This role plays a critical part in helping our message of hope, grace, and mercy cross language barriers and bring the Gospel to a broader audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate written content including flyers, devotionals, web content, and social media posts.
• Provide live or recorded interpretation of sermons, teachings, and events.
• Assist in subtitling and captioning for online video content.
• Help build a glossary of ministry-specific terms to ensure consistent translation style.
• Collaborate with media and outreach teams to time translations with communications rollouts.
• Occasionally attend meetings or services to assist with live translation needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Strong understanding of Christian and Biblical terminology.
• Experience in translation or interpretation (formal or informal).
• A heart for ministry and passion to serve multicultural communities.
• Reliable and consistent with deadlines and communication.

Commitment:

• Approximately 1–3 hours per week, depending on ministry needs.
• Remote or hybrid (option to serve in person for events/services).
• Flexible scheduling with clear deadlines and advance notice.
