Director of Development

Please note: While this is a virtual opportunity and work can be performed from anywhere, we are looking for someone who is in or near the areas of the District of Columbia, Baltimore or Frederick, MD.

Do you love orchestral music? Would you like to work as a volunteer with a small non-profit, meet interesting people, and listen to beautiful music? The National String Symphonia (NSS) is looking to fill the volunteer position of Director of Development. This person would be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing any or all of the following activities for the orchestra: fundraising, sponsorships, planned giving programs, and grants. The incumbent would develop an annual budget for each event or campaign, monitor progress, adjust plans when necessary, and evaluate each event.
